Finally Finished

Ok, so it has taken a long time to finish my addition to this beautiful green sweater. All of the work is so lovely. I added a beaded butterfly broach,
so it can flutter around all of the flowers.

Where did the time go?????

I received Kathy's sweater in December. I had high hopes of adding to it and sending on it's way by January. Well guess what, that didn't happen and now it is March. March? What happened to January and February? I can't believe I have been such a slacker on this project. I truly apologize and I buckled down this week and finished my additions of the green monkey in the pocket and a little cuff embroidery. The package is now ready to be sent on it's way.
So what have you all been up to. I know that I have been collecting projects again and have a pile of WIPs to prove it. I hope to get a few things tackeled this weekend, but you just never know because I keep finding more and more things that I would love to make.
I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend---d

I don't look ready for prime time here- but it sure was a happy moment I wanted to have documented. Amelia sleeping beside me while I knit with some of my all time favorite hot pink yarn, soft and custom handspun from Shannon at SunriseLodgeFiberStudio, on a recent weekend morning.

I have three pair of hugs-handmade socks from friends: one striped pair from Lori, one ladylike pinky-purple pair from my friend Kusi, and one from long ago from my friend Paul. The socks I've knit in the past have been fat, dr. seuss-y and appropriate for wearing in hiking boots or galoshes. However, just like the magical 'someday' when I only use vintage and handmade dishes, I would love to live happily in the future wearing only handknit socks. That day sure feels far away because I'm a slow knitter.
